The Challenge:

In the wake of the digital age, NIIT aimed to host Annual Day, their yearly initiative that celebrates the achievements of NIIT and NIITians in the 12 months gone by and felicitates the winners in its Hall of Fame, To ensure this landmark event to be a resounding success, NIIT required a platform that could provide a lifelike experience, offer better branding opportunities, and engage attendees effectively.

ExpoSim’s Tailored Virtual Experience

NIIT partnered with ExpoSim, a leading virtual event platform, to bring their vision to life. ExpoSim’s virtual events platform played a pivotal role in crafting a unique and immersive virtual experience. Here’s how ExpoSim addressed NIIT’s requirements: for Annual Day Awards:

Immersive Auditorium Layout:

ExpoSim designed a full-screen auditorium layout, maximizing the visual area on attendees’ screens. This larger video area contributed to a more immersive experience, aligning with NIIT’s goal of replicating a real-life ceremony.

Multi-screen Setup:

ExpoSim created a multi-screen setup to accommodate the emcee, guests, and awardees separately. This setup included a single-screen view for emcees and keynote speakers and a five-screen view to showcase emcees, speakers, and awardees simultaneously. Presentation and Live Cam Feed:

ExpoSim integrated presentation slides to highlight each awardee’s outstanding work before transitioning to a live cam feed of the awardee, adding a personal touch to the ceremony.

Confetti and Applause:

To enhance the celebratory atmosphere, ExpoSim incorporated confetti effects whenever awardees were showcased on screen, providing attendees with a real-life celebration feel. Additionally, a clapping applause sound played when the emcee announced the winners, adding to the excitement.

Booths for Award Categories:

ExpoSim dedicated booths to each of the nine award categories. These booths displayed audio and visual information about each award, allowing attendees to learn more about the different accolades during the event.

Selfie Zone for Engagement:

To keep attendees engaged, ExpoSim offered a selfie zone feature. NIIT utilized this feature, enabling attendees to take selfies during the award ceremony, resulting in 500+ selfies taken over the two-day event.
